John Ragonese

John has worked in the hydroelectric power industry for over 40 years. He currently manages federal operating licenses for Great River Hydro, LLC, which owns and operates 42 hydroelectric generating units in New England. Previously he was Vice President and board member of the National Hydropower Association in Washington DC and routinely speaks before National and International industry related audiences; and is an Industry Advisor to the Low Impact Hydropower Institute. 


He is a USSF licensed soccer coach; coaching recreational and club soccer for over 25 years including three consecutive state titles. Nothing thrills him more than seeing positive growth in kids through sports and teamwork. His two daughters and former players, Erin and Ariana live in West Palm Beach, FLA and Portsmouth, NH respectively. His son Jackson developed and played soccer at Seacoast United including his last 6 years at the Academy level; he now plays soccer at Wheaton College, MA. His wife Lynda, is an accomplished public school teacher and librarian and the Exec. Dir. of the Clipper Foundation in Portsmouth, NH.
